Bug Report: Copying/Moving/Renaming Files and Folders, menu and manual in disagreement

What I want to do: Move files and folders from one folder to another within the same WC within the same repo.

I want to keep the moved objects under revision control and keep history.

What I did: use windows explorer to select multiple revisioned files and folders. Right click+drag. Drop in new location.

What happens: the popup-menu doesn't contain the same options as listed in the manual (same with PDF and online)

I have no idea what to select to move the files/folders and maintain revision control.

The way it's described in the manual looks very easy and obvious, but unfortunately this is not what I get.

May I kindly ask if any of the menu options I see will provide the move utility I'm looking for?

This menu is shown if the destination folder is not of the same working copy as the source. Each working copy has it's own ID, and the source and destination have different IDs.

Are you absolutely sure that the destination is the same working copy as the source? Maybe it's a nested folder (independent from the working copy but still versioned)?

Hi Stefan,

I thought I was sure, but apparently not. One folder inside a WC was pointing to another WC from a different repo. This was indeed the cause of the problem.

When I move between folders in the same WC I get the expected menu, however I can still only copy+add, "move" is not an option.

I guess I have to copy + delete old.
