Hello!
How is the vertical scroll position (re)calculated on a reload in tortoiseMerge in collapse mode?
I use TortoiseMerge quite a lot for comparing test log files with a checked-in reference, watching closely what is different.
So the right file in tortoiseMerge grows with every reload (button or when switching back to the window).
Sometimes the vertical position is kept, sometimes it jumps around seemingly randomly.
My wish would be that the topmost visible line stays the topmost visible line if it is still visible after the reload, with the exception that the vertical space should be used up, i.e. the system would scroll up to fill the space if there are less lines to show from that line to the bottom of the files than can be shown in the window.
If the topmost line would be invisible after the collapsing, the last to-be-shown line before that should become the new topmost line.
Would that be possible? Do you think it would be a good idea?
Regards
Hartmut
