Icon overlay in explorer

Hi. Is this the right place to suggest product improvement?
I'm using externals intensively (folders and files). It would be a great help to see quickly if a edited file is project specific or shared.

Hi, I know it is a really old thread, but I just started working with TortoiseSVN and would also like to see a different icon or something telling me the file is set as "externals". We do see it in repo-browser but not in windows explorer.
