I'm having some issues with my repository browser, whenever i open it up, it's waiting for intialization (for about +10 seconds) and when i browse folders in the repository browser it hangs for 30~90 seconds before any folder is shown.

My system setup is:
Windows 10 64 bit, latest and greatest updates from windows update.
Tsvn v. 1.12, I've tried different versions, tried to clear out all tmp data, before each installation, no luck.

If i enable debugoutput, and look in windows debugviewer, it hangs around the command svn_client_list4 - I've tried to download the sourcecode to debug it, but without luck (i don't have the proper version of visual studio or the correct frameworks).

I've been looking in the eventlog of windows, and it had some trouble validating the certificate of our server, but after importing it manually it went away.
We are currently 6-9 other developers using the same repository and versions of tsvn, but neither of my colleagues have the same problems.

How can i investegate it any furhter, to see where the svn_client_list command hangs?

since you're the only one having these problems and others on the same network/repository don't, we have to assume it's something on your system.

So the first thing you should do is compare all the settings (TSVN settings dialog). Maybe you've changed some settings affecting the repo browser.

But honestly, in such situations it's usually a virus scanner that interferes and slows down the network. Can you add TortoiseProc.exe to the scanners exclusion list? and maybe also the working copies...

I face similar issues speed issues, with all tortoisesvn dialogs. It happens on Win10 LTSB & LTSC systems. On a Win10 system, it is fine. It's related to MFC bug?

The repo browser is extremely slow for me, as well. It takes 30-45 seconds for the dialog to show the folders. The IT team disabled McAfee and still the slow behavior persisted. The issue is only with the browser. When doing an SVN Update, there weren't any issues.

Hello,

Did you try Subversion 1.13.0 or newer? Did you try the most recent 1.14.1?

Settings dialog->Dialogs 3 - under the "Repository Browser" section try disabling "Show externals" and "Show locks". You can also try disabling the pre-fetch feature.
