Hello, I want to make a backup to all of my repositories (which are close to 1TB).
I want to know if I can backup this content without stopping the SVN service; does SVN provides tools which can do this while commits are being pushed to the server?

Thank you.

There are a lot of details in the SVN book about backups.

Depending on your server you may have other options, for example VisualSVN Server has built in backup solutions.

Kind regards

Thank you Daniel, but I can't see in which case I can let the server run while I use hotcopy for example.

A hotcopy can be done while the server is running, afaik. But depending on what you want to achieve you might want to look at svnsync instead.

Since this group is primarily target the TortoiseSVN (gui) client, you can probably get better help at the us...@subversion.apache.org mailing list regarding the different backup options.

Kind regards,
Daniel
