external to different repository

Hello

I have have two repositories: http://example/repos-1 and http://example/repos-2.

I did a checkout of http://example/repos-1/.../trunk into D:\repos-1\...\trunk. and the svn:externals property is set on trunk.

 

I inserted the following information:

Local path: result/.../xy2.doc

URL: http://example/repos-2/.../xy.doc

But it shows an error:

'http://example/repos-2/.../xy.doc' is not in repository 'http://example/repos-1'

What is wrong? According to the documentation it is possible to make an external to a different repository.

an external can point to another repository directory, but only to files within the same repository.
