Hi,

After quite a long time, TortoiseSVN 1.10.0 is finally ready.
This is a new major release with lots of new features.

Please read the release notes for this new release:
http://tortoisesvn.net/tsvn_1.10_releasenotes.html

Note: Version 1.10.0 requires at least Windows 7or later. Windows Vista
is not supported anymore.

You can get this new release from here:

When can we get nightlies of 1.10 branch in case 1.10 has issues? How long will 1.9 be supported/patched?

Ian is out of the office this week, so it will take a while until the nightly build server is changed to 1.10.x.
1.9.x will now only get security updates if ever.

ok, I see several commits with fixes and would try them. when can we get 1.10 nightlies or is the "latest" version ok until heavy development of svn 1.11 starts?

Yes, right now trunk is still identical to the 1.10.x branch. So you can use those.

Hi,

I downloaded and installed this new version of TortoiseSVN.

When I run 'svn --version' on the command line, it looks like TortoiseSVN 1.10 uses a 1.10-dev version of svn.exe.

C:\>svn --version
svn, version 1.10.0-dev (under development)
compiled Apr 14 2018, 10:24:15 on x86-microsoft-windows

The 'About' window of TortoiseSVN shows this:
TortoiseSVN 1.10.0, Build 28176 - 64 Bit , 2018/04/14 08:00:32
Subversion 1.10.0, -dev

Is this normal that a dev build of SubVersion is used in this release?

kind regards,
Maarten

Yes, the build was done against the svn 1.10.x branch at the time.
But the 1.10.x branch and the 1.10.0 tag were exactly the same when the build was done, except for the version string.
So you still have a 'release' version of the command line tools.

ok, now I see that there is a 1.10 folder on nightly server, but build still fails. hopefully this can be fixed soon.
