WG: call Tsvn's diff tool from a custom diff script?

Hello!

 

I created a custom differ which converts some binary file to text and then runs tortoisemerge.exe on it. Works well.

 

Now the request came from a colleague who configured a different tool as his standard diff tool to use that for showing the diff.

 

Is it possible to tell tortoise subversion to run whatever diff tool (internal or external) is configured on my text files?

Since it's your script that's calling TortoiseMerge, can't you just call the other users diff tool instead?

Or if you want your script to use the diff tool configured in TSVN, you could read the registry settings:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TortoiseSVN\DiffTools

This is probably what I will do: teach the colleague how to write his own diff script with his favourite text differ and how to register that.
