Hi,

Depending on the way a file finds its way to you, it may have different line endings. In TortoiseMerge you can set the compare behavior for this in the settings, but this is cumbersome and permanent. Why not (additionally) a direct way to change the behavior, like with "Compare whitspaces" etc.?

Depending on the setting, TortoiseMerge reports that the file is identical except for the line endings. But if there is another difference, only that one is shown concisely. The meta information for the files in the lower right corner is usually ignored.

My wish was granted! :-)
In commit 29633 a new ribbon "Ignore line endings" found its way into the GUI.
I have tried the nightly. The first tests passed.
Thank you very much!
