Hello Marco,
I think I may have found a compatibility problem between TopoDroid and the latest Google Earth Pro.
Environment
Problem
I export a survey directly from TopoDroid as KML.
The KML opens correctly in Google Earth Pro.
I can:
However, the moment I select Add Placemark (the yellow pin), Google Earth crashes immediately.
If no TopoDroid KML is loaded, Google Earth creates placemarks normally.
The problem occurs with several different caves, including very small surveys.
I also tested Google Earth in Safe Mode, with the same result.
I noticed that the exported KML starts with:
<kml xmlnx="http://www.opengis.net/kml/2.2">
instead of
<kml xmlns="http://www.opengis.net/kml/2.2">
I changed this manually, but it did not solve the problem.
Have you ever seen this issue, or do you know of any incompatibility between recent Google Earth Pro versions and the KML exported by TopoDroid?
If useful, I can send you one of the KML files that reproduces the crash.
Thank you very much.
