Hi Bart,
Sesame support had been removed from our products with version 6.2. We were only distributing a long outdated version of Sesame (now RDF4J) and didn't have much evidence that it was on the critical path for users. Performance was not good, due to the chattiness of the protocol.
TopBraid has literally thousands of features, and with mixed
quality and support levels, so occasionally we need to prune away
some of them in order to be able to better focus on our core
capabilities and new features.
You can of course still use older TopBraid versions, e.g. to convert the data currently available via Sesame into TDB.
Out of interest, which database did you connect to using Sesame
in previous versions? If it was a native Sesame DB, would it be
possible for your to migrate to Jena TDB?
Regards,
Holger

Hi Holger,
Thank you for the information. We are using native Sesame DB and planning to migrate to an other one. Which one is not yet decided. I’ll keep using the older version for this project until the upgrade.
Kind regards,
Bart.
