SPARQL update via JavaScript

I recall there being a way to perform a SPARQL ask/select/update via JavaScript, but I'm having trouble finding the documentation. Where can I find that?

This is possible via Active Data Shapes (ADS) http://datashapes.org/active/

For example call graph.select or graph.update. Or graph.eval with EXISTS.
