How to non-interactively query and update via the EDG GraphQL & SPARQL endpoints?

Is there a quick reference that would show the syntax of querying the two endpoints via HTTP request or other programmatic methods?

I have a need to read and update data from another application and I am drawing a blank on the syntax.

One way to see those requests would be to run queries from the user interface while the browser inspection tools are open. For example, on Chrome right-click anywhere and select Inspect then watch the Network tab to see the request syntax of what you just did.

The SPARQL endpoint largely follows the SPARQL protocol https://www.w3.org/TR/sparql11-protocol/
