I'm interested in running Maui server locally. I note the application is deployed in the local tomcat (that launches from TCME) and I have set a data directory system environmental variable. When I hit the maui server link in the tomcat manager it get a message that the server is running. When I launch EDG locally and go to the Server Administration > Setup – EDG Configuration Parameters (EDG Admin UI) there is no option for Autoclassifier Configuration Parameters, therefore I can't point to the Maui instance.

Can Maui be run from localhost?
Can the Autoclassifier Configuration Parameters for Maui be switch on somehow?

Apologies if this has been answered but I couldn't find any reference if it has been.

Hi Marcus,

I'm a bit confused by what you describe. You say that Maui Server is deployed in a local Tomcat that is launched from TBCME. But TBCME doesn't launch a local Tomcat; it launches an embedded pseudo servlet container and it is not possible to deploy additional web applications like Maui Server into it. So if you already have Maui Server working locally, you must have installed Tomcat separately and deployed Maui Server into that local Tomcat.

AutoClassifier is only available to customers with an EDG license. This policy is implemented by simply not making AutoClassifier available in TBCME. Unfortunately, even if you have a valid EDG license, there is no way to enable AutoClassifier in off-the-shelf TBCME. If this poses a serious problem for you, please file a support ticket and we will see what we can do.

But note that it is possible to run the server version of EDG on a locally installed Tomcat, assuming a spare EDG development server license. AutoClassifier is available there. So you might be able to deploy EDG into the local Tomcat that you presumably already have.

Richard
