Hi all,
with an own program we would like to check if our EDG tools are running, means if EDG Explorer and Editor are available. To check this, we don't want to login to the tools of course.
Does anyone have an idea how to implement this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,

Thank you for the great question! We always suggest monitoring of some sort to keep an eye on the health of the application and server, and we are glad to hear that you are seeking to implement something of the sort. There are a variety of tools that could be of use here, however the ones we suggest and have experience with are:

  • Splunk and ELK can be used for log monitoring.  Including 500 watchdog

  • Zabbix for JMX JVM/App health & performance metrics

  • Zabbix for OS health & performance metrics as well

  • Zabbix can also do endpoint monitoring, but that would involve logging into the application
