I totally forgot to address you replacing your swim platform. If you look at my "
Aux
Power" folder, you can see that I have cut 26" off the port side of the OEM swim platform to make room for a high-thrust Yamaha 25hp outboard. I cut the curved end out and patched it back to the cut back platform. This is just temporary and a test so
I can see precisely where the Yamaha wants to live.
THEN, I'm going to buy a sheet of
1" King Starboard and make a new custom-shaped swim platform out of that material. It's pricey at $800+ but that's cheaper than the guy up in Canada who will sell you a swim platform for $3k. AND... who knows... maybe you and I can split an 8-foot sheet...
which is 54" x 96". That would give us each a 27" wide platform. You might want more, but I thought it worth mentioning; and I haven't fully decided how wide I really want mine and I may end up going to 32" which would leave me with 22", which is about 6"
wider than the Tolly OEM swim platform. If I go with a 32" width, which is kinda what I've been planning...
I'll have to figure out what to do with the 22" piece. AND... it's possible
that a distributor would sell me just what I need.
