I have a 1988 61' with twin Detroit 671 TI engines i purchased 1 year ago. The alternator on the starboard engine charges the starting batteries. The alternator has failed. It is not the original alternator. There isn't a name plate, model, serial number or anything to identify it. It has an internal voltage regulator, not external. If anyone has a similar set up or has any recommendations on where to go to find the correct replacement, I would appreciate the input. The port alternator is fine and charges the house batteries.

There is an expert in Kent named "The Rebuilder." He is on South Central Avenue/ 84th Ave... just south of Willis. He knows this stuff inside and out and has been working it for decades. I did a custom configuration and he did a wonderful job.
