Hi,

In a team work, I need to share my tmux sessions with others.
However, they cannot work independently in other panes/windows.

I am new to tmux. Can anyone help me out, how this can be achieved ?

Regards,
Giri.

You can use session groups to have independent windows, for independent panes you will need to build 3.2-rc or master and use -factive-pane.

Create a new session with "tmux new -t sessionname" where sessionname is an existing session to create a group and you will get independent current window, once you detach you can attach to the session again as normal (look at tmux ls, the name will be something like "sessionname-0"). Look at the man page under new-window.

Yes this works. Thank you.
I have built latest tmux. Does this have solution for "window size = smallest window size of all clients" problem which appeared in earlier versions of tmux ?
Does this seek any configuration in .tmux.conf in tmux3.2 ? If so what ? currently i have "setw -g aggressive-resize on" would this work in 3.2 ?

set -g window-size largest

Or latest if you want it instead, look at the manual
