Hi,
The config line of the status bar of tmux can be very long (mine is exceeding 300 chars). Is there a way to wrap the long string into multiple lines or divide the status bar into parts so that I can make the status bar readable

Yes use \ to join lines or put stuff in environment variables or in user options (expand the latter with #{E:@foo})

Ok, thanks.
Could you elaborate on the user options part?

set -g @blah '#{window_name}'
set -g status-left '#{E:@blah}'
