Hi all,

I tried to make a plugin with TW5.1.19 and the Tinka plugin, but got a red Javascript error with the text: "TypeError: tiddler is undefined".

When I do the same with TW5.1.17, the plugin is made without error.

When I import the plugin made in TW5.1.17 in a TW5.1.19 and repack the plugin I get the same error: "TypeError: tiddler is undefined".

Up to now I never had problems with making plugins using Tinka.

Has anybody else seen this behaviour?

Cheers,

Ton

Hi all,

Update
Repeating what I did yesterday (and better documenting it!), showed one mistake I made yesterday: there was an undefined tiddler in the list to be packed which gave the Javascript error: "TypeError: tiddler is undefined"

Today
TW5.1.19
With the corrected list I still see a Javascript error: "TypeError: options.event.event.target is undefined" BUT the plugin as such is created (and works).

TW5.1.17
With the corrected list the plugin is packed normally without errors.

After importing the plugin made in TW5.1.17 in a TW5.1.19, I can repack the plugin without errors as well.

So it boils down to the question if "TypeError: options.event.event.target is undefined" is something to be worried about.
And why is this error in TW5.1.19 and not in TW5.1.17

Cheers,

Ton

Hi Ton, I'll look that up. Looks like something I've added but I don't remember where/what

Hi Simon,

I am not a coder, so the error doesn't ring a bell for me.

Thanks for investigating.

Does Tinka create a Modal dialog somewhere? I believe the problem is a minor issue related with modals or something with going fullscreen, but nothing that should cause problems for Tinka itself

May be this?

Hi Simon,
I tested Tinka on 5.1.19. I got a similar error

TypeError: options.event.event.target is undefined

My plugin was quite simple
 - a simple macro macro/01
 - a readme  $:/plugins/.mr/readme

What is the problem?

Further input:
Note that the plugin has been created even TW displays that error window.

I actually get a different error, in that running Tinka latest under TW latest deletes the shadow tiddlers I've edited, and packages up the original versions! I lose all my changes!

FWIW, I built a plugin using Tinka on TW5 (Tinka 0.4.0) and while it built the plugin successfully, the build process generated an internal javascript error "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'ownerDocument' of undefined". When it happens I stop and restart the TW5 nodejs server, though I don't know if that is necessary.

David.

Hi Ton,

Referring to Andreas Hahn the author of Tinka at

The Tinka plugin works with TW5.1.20pre and the issue is from TW5.1.19 side.
