Custom save hackability

With the 5.1.22 prerelease we have more control over the dirty indicator, filename and save filter.

Is it possible to coopt the save process to save custom files?

for example in a wiki file called index.html could I trigger a save of tiddlers created or modified by username to a file called username.json ideally with a trigger of my choice.

I would also like to save custom editions as well.

I can see how to force what I want but it would be nice to configure such a save seperatly.
