Hey guys,

There are 2 things i couldnt figure out, hope you can help me.

1. Applying Plugins.

I copied the source text into a new Tiddler, added the Tag "systemConfig" and gave it a proper Name.
Still nothing changed for me when i reloaded my Wiki, it even seems to disappear after reloading it (currently I'm not using a webserver, just the single file for several tests)

What am i doing wrong ?

2. I'd love to have a fixed sidebar on the left to see the whole structure of my Tiddlers which changes when i open new tiddlers, something like this:

Index
->     Tiddler 1

->     Tiddler 2

->          Subtiddler 2

->               Sub-subtiddler 2

->     Tiddler 3

->     Tiddler 4

This is what it should look like when i open Subtiddler 2 :)

Looking Forward for some nice answers, thanks in advance.

Hi Juan,

Are you using TiddlyWiki Classic or TW5? The plugin you mention is for classic, but this version will never run as a webserver - the two versions are, in general, not compatible with each other.

Regards,
Richard

On tiddlywiki.com, do a search for table of contents macro.

Yes, for instance in the plugin you refer to, it says "core version 2.1". TW5 has core >5

Also, for "Single page mode", you can look in your TW Controlpanel>Appearence>Storyview and see if any option there is to your liking.

Hi,

If I understand correctly, you are using TW5 and want a menu on the left side of the story river. The best example is probably the one by Ton Gerner at: http://tw5topleft.tiddlyspot.com/ It also has option for a top menu.

If you want an example of one that looks something like what you described, I did one based on one of Ton's examples at: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/sh/h8q01y5kygoyhch/AAD0hwllkUF6ivZ5WZ7awzhBa/custom_5-1-8.html Tiddlers go in the menu based on the tag in the tiddlers. In my example, the first, or top, level is tagged Contents. The left menu can be hidden which comes in handy for small mobile screens. I also placed a TOC in the right sidebar so it is available on small screens when the right side bar is placed at the top above the story river. You can download the json file and import it into a new TW to see how it would work for you.

The normal menues don't react as new tiddlers are open but I think someone was trying to do that but I don't have a reference. I don't think any of Ton's were interactive. You'd probably have to search the TiddlyWiki group for TOC or Table of Contents to look for an interactive toc.

Hope that gives you some ideas.
Greg

That's great Greg, thank you.

It's hard to find something like this via search engine so i really appreciate your help.

A Version that doesnt react to opened tiddler is fine as well until i figure out how to make it "live".

have a nice day.
