Lots of drafts being made? Not showing under Drafts Tab (new to TW5)

I'm pretty new new to TW5 (I'm trying to use it under TiddlyDesktop for a new project),  I used TW classic more in the past but haven't used either for a few years. 

It seems like there are a lot of Draft tiddlers being generated. Any idea what is causing this? The drafts do not show under the drafts tab, only under the "All" tab. When I open any of the drafts they are empty. 

Also, the actual tiddlers seem to open and save fine (although when I open them in edit mode they say something like Draft 3 of 'Tiddler Name').  Here's some pictures:

     

Is this just normal behavior, or is there a setting that I can change?

How are you creating or selecting tiddlers for edit? If you have a custom button it may not be navigating to the draft tiddler, or creating them in the background. 

If you can also create a second draft if the first is not saved. There are a number of circumstances where this can occur, most likely from a custom button or side bar tab that has not fully taken the draft mechaisium into account.

I'm just using the edit button at the top of the tiddler. I did temporarily install the Top Tool Bar plugin, but I disabled it and have now removed it. Maybe it did something, going through my backups, it seems like my issue started around when I installed this plugin.
