Comment: Web v. Email versions of this Google Group

I recently started taking the Email for this group. I don't read it. I just archive it. I do that because, believe it or not, its easier to search in the email program than it is Online to find things.

Given that Google is a premier search engine its a mystery to me that getting decent search of the GG online is so difficult.

One thing the email version is POOR on is LOOKS. Neatly presented stuff of the one-line version once it hits email can turn into a mixture of fonts sizes. Code blocks can become very difficult to read.

I didn't try it, but apparently you can read the group in a feed reader, too:

Setting asside the search within google groups search capabilitys outperform most forums because they can be done from google itself. My searches are usualy done from google and include tiddlywiki. Use googles advanced search facilities.

FWIW I tried the RSS in Feedly. Its good on favourites & being able to organise. Better than GG. But has no threading being just the latest news feed so not really viable when you need to follow threads.
