Ciao Sylvian. I have an odd problem. I can post to the GG on web but I get blocked on the mailing list. Neither Jeremy or I understand why.

The gg group admin can allow/disallow posting or emailing on a per user basis.

If the result is different to the member settings toggling these settings may fix it.

And as displayed it is set to "No Email: Web Only Participation", I know this sounds like you just don't get sent emails, but I think that may be the cause. Get it Set it to abridged Email.

I believe GG can be used for forums without email, ie not an email list. 

I do not normally respond by email myself, and always come to the forum. I will try an email post and and you can look at my membership settings if it works for me.

I think it simply means that those posts (starting a thread) of mine do not get relayed to mailing list members. In other words, I can start a thread on the web group but google rejects what should be automatically distributed via email (GG email, not mine personally). The settings I have have not been changed. So it looks like an obscure issue.

Its a bit of a puzzle.

Here are Tony’s settings:

The behaviour we’re seeing for Josiah is inconsistent, but I think is explained by the fact that he’s been posting images that hotlink to the Internet, rather than embedding as an inline image. I think some Google spam filter is using that as a red mark against Josiah’s account. With any luck, the red mark will fade away over a week or two.
