I'm looking for a way to add a custom button to the sidebar, where the 'New tiddler', 'Control panel'  and 'Save changes' buttons are located, but I can't seem to find any info on how to do this. Thanks in advance!

M,

  • If you search in advanced search shadows tab with this $:/core/ui/Buttons/ you will see all the built in buttons. if you open these you will see how the work and how they are tagged to appear in different locations.
  • The tag you would be looking for is $:/tags/PageControls tag a tiddler with this tag (containing a button definition) for it to appear where you ask in the "Page Toolbar".
  • Also look at control panel > Appearance > Toolbars > Page Toolbar - this is where your button should appear as well, noting if un-ticked it will appear behind the "more dropdown" (If more is displayed) and not where you want.
Regards
Tony
