Shiraz plugin has just got a new update!

Shiraz is a small framework of stylesheets, templates and macros to create stylish contents in Tiddlywiki. Shiraz has customized elements like alerts, cards, panels, images, static tables, dynamic tables, badges, texts, etc. Shiraz uses some modified CSS classes from Bootstrap 4.3.1.

Code and demo
It is highly recommended to backup your data before trying any new plugin! Do it before installing shiraz.

Revision 2.2.0

  • Date: [3rd Mar 2021]
  • [FIXED] updated to TW 5.1.23
  • [NEW] the new pagination feature for dynamic tables

  • [NEW] documentation for pagination was added

Hey Mohammad,

Great work on the pagination for dynamic tables! I love it. So far it works great, and I haven't found any issues.

However, in the process of upgrading I noticed that your plugin library seems to be not working. All of my TW projects show that there are no plugins in the library and no upgrades available. Is it just me?

Hi Damon,
Please let me know how you install the new version! is it through Kookma library or by drag and drop?

Best wishes
Mohammad

Drag and drop because the library wasn’t working.

I also have single file TWs but I don’t know if that makes a difference.

Birthe,
Strangely the Kookma plugin library has disappeared from GitHub.
I am creating the repo again! I will let you know when it is working again.
Wait a few minutes!

Best wishes

Ray,
Normally we install on https://tiddlywiki.com/ or an empty.html (clean TW) to see if the plugin works or not!
into  https://tiddlywiki.com/ and it works fine!

So, would you please do this again? If it works for you then there is a problem with your own TW!

Best wishes
Mohammad

Mohammad,

I am once again realizing just how powerful, thorough, and wonderful Shiraz is. It really is amazing. If someone just takes the time to read everything that's available, you'll be amazed.

Thank you!

That's very kind of you! I think Shiraz by using a small part of css classes of Bootstrap (a very popular and yet wonderful CSS framework) is sufficient for creating almost many visual elements you like to include in your wiki/webpage/blog/doc, etc...

To this end add dynamic tables and image macros! One drawback I really have to work on is the size of the plugin! It is 110kB while it is not too much but I like to decrease it!

I have made my own TW app with all these essential plugins (Shiraz+Commander+Todolist+Favorites+Utility+Trashbin AND relink+CodeMirror+CodeMirror subplugins) and then use the wonderful Uglify from Flibbles to create a minified version and I have an empty.html = 2.636MB which is 10kB less than the official empty.html

Best wishes
Mohammad

Thank you!

Mohammad,

I noticed something today about the pagination with dynamic tables. It may be just my usage of it, but the count at the bottom is off.  When there's only one row, the bottom says "Displaying 1 through 2 of 2 Results"; when there are two rows, it says "Displaying 1 through 3 of 3 Results"; and when there are 6 rows, it says "Displaying 1 through 9 of 9 Results". Am I doing something wrong?

Here's the code I used to instantiate it:

<<table-dynamic filter:"[title<currentTiddler>kin:tags:to[]]" fields:"date operation from to mileage constructed_by recipient" pagination:"yes" sortOp:sortan caption:"''Operated Miles & Construction History''" footerRows:"1">>

Would you please check the below wikitext and tell me what is the result?
<$count filter="[title<currentTiddler>kin:tags:to[]]"/>

This is the filter you have used? The number of row is determined by this filter

Hi Mohammad,

The issue turned out to be that the filter I was using had more results than those displayed. I was using fields and the missing entries had no fields but were listed by the filter. Once I updated the filter, the results were correct.

As soon as I submitted the original message I figured out the issue and deleted it. It’s actually convenient the way it works.
