Marking "Complete" on a thread

There was mention of whom should mark "Complete" on a thread...
I haven't seen a way as a thread creator to make my own threads as "Comlete"-- I only see that option on other people's threads

The creator of a thread **cannot** mark it Completed. One of the silly things in the GG system.
MOST of the time when a thread is marked as "Completed" its just an accident. Fat-finger hits wrong place.
Basically it means near nothing in GG.
