Paragraph spacing and dounle return setting- simple solution?

I did find a solution about the spacing of paragraphs - it was to do with changing the TW htm  and adding a tag <area>
But I think this solution is above my capabilities at the moment. [I do not know how to find the TW html and I do not know how to change the css afterwards]]

Is there a way to reduce the spacing between paragraphs?

Also is there a setting that allows for one return to create a new paragraph - rather than the two returns needed currently.
