The plugin I use more than any other is my SideEditor. (Ok, ok, yes I use the core plugin even more, you smartass you.)

However, a major annoyance has been that it covers the sidebar so to access the sidebar lists one had to temporarily move or toggle off the SideEditor. This update features a hovering solution to flip between the sidebar and the SideEditor. Check it out at:

Any improvement comments are warmly welcome but I just spent way too much time on fiddling with it so it is not likely I'll change anything right away.

Update

Some tweaks have been made. The most important is to introduce grayed out areas to indicate where/when the SideEditor vs the sidebar is accessible.

Also some cleanup in the CSS (but I'm sure I will bring tears to anyone looking at it... btw, I still prefer to not have it in a separate stylesheet because I need the imediate access between the styles and where they're applied.)

Update again.

There was a problem with the version number so TW interpreted the previous update as an older version, effectively refusing to import it.

Further, the arrow tool button to toggle the SideEditor is now possible to hide just like other tool buttons. Particularly useful if you're using the SideEditor in demos and don't want to confuse people with the arrow button.

Also some styling improvements to indicate clearer what parts are active.

The code is still not fully polished and your CSS teachers eyes will think he's chopping onion.

Version 1.0 of SideEditor

Big update to clean up much mess and improve flip zones. For one thing, there's a button on the site (not incl in the plugin) to show where the flipzones are.

The CSS will no longer make you want to ban me from the internet, but merely bring slight wetness to your eyes. For one thing, the styling is now split out into stylesheets.

version 1.0.6

Further tweaks, most notably...

- Resize handles should now perform properly, including in Edge. (IE is another matter tho)
- Smaller screens display the editor better than before (...still NOT for mobile size).

Hi Mat,

Thank you so much! This is one of my favorit plugins and now even better. It has helped me tremendously creating stylesheets ;-), but really editing tiddlers feels so much faster.
