Each time AUTOSAVE does its thing it places a notice on the screen saying it's doing so. While this is generally OK it seems that as the day wears on it covers more and more of the screen real estate. Its increasingly frustrating as it grows with each save. (See photo attached).

Is there a setting to turn this off or close it more quickly?

Michael,

This is not normal behaviour so I assume to modified the message to include this icon?
  • Messages such as this are usually what you could call "one shot",
  • to achieve this the message generated is typically deleted after "firing" and nothing accumulates
  • Follow the same trail you did to make these changes and I expect you may need to add an action that deletes a tiddler, empties a field or something similar.
  • I am not sure it would help me to follow this trail on an empty version, because I do not know what you have installed in your own wiki.
Regards
Tony

Tony,
I am using essentially an original TW5 file. I have not added any plug-ins or modified any system tiddlers (I am pretty much a newbie on this version). The only thing I use aside from the original html is TiddlyWiki In the Sky (TWITS) -- The Dropbox connector for TW. As its somehow involved with the saving could it be the culprit?

I might add that I am using Firefox 74.0 and just now tested Chrome 80.0.3987.149 and the problem does not occur on it. I am suspecting that it is a problem with TWITS and FF. Will post a question over at the TWITS support site and update here once I get a response.

2020-03-23 update
After numerous testing activities I am pretty much convinced that this is a TWITS-Dropbox issue. If I get a resopnse from the TWITS support site I will cross post here.
