I found this article and its HN comments interesting. Particullary searching for Tiddlywiki in the HN comments and seeing what people had to say!

In a way its not news.

Really that headline has been re-run endlessly from net start.

But re-inventing the wheel one should be gracious over. So no more on that.

Luhmann is very interesting though. As is his baby "Zettelkasten"

I have started several discussions here related to it. The most recent being: What is a Fragment? Which has a quite rich discussion that goes into Zettelkasten.

Luhmann was a brilliant sociologist (I'm a social scientist). BTW, he also liked doing stuff cheaply. Many of his records were on discarded paper. Old letters cut up.

That is a difference from computer cleanness. Analogue allowed bigger scope for character.

TT,

Computer cleanness - you must be talking about your own.
If you want to pay tribute to Luhmann: Long time ago Mat had a tiddlywiki with the tiddlers looking like a stack of old, brown/yellow torn papers.

... Luhmann made great notes. I tend to make manual tiddlers that mostly never get typed up.

I have tried to use tw to build a zettelkasten almost form start of my tw journey.

I have made a button and template for making zettle notes. it is mostly a checklist to prime myself to think in a zettelkasten manner before I type my note. But it works quite well I think. have a look - tiddlers attached.

@TT i have to check out that discussion :). I haven't had much TW time lately.

Maybe you can try transcluding the button tiddler somewhere on sidebar or home tiddler

The whole thing in Luhmann & Zetelkastens is creation is FIXED forever. Make a record, that is it. Forever.I actually think its Good if you can stick with it.

Your approach looks good. BUT are you a purist? By which  I mean, once a Tiddler is created you will NEVER, EVER change it?
