Someone else posted this problem but using a web browser.
TW works fine on my browser -Ffox

when using TiddlyDesktop on linuk here's what I get

Internal JavaScript Error

Well, this is embarrassing. It is recommended that you restart TiddlyWiki by refreshing your browser
Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function

Any ideas?

Is thiw while viewing your wiki?  Or the list of wikis that the initial window shows?  If the initial window doesn't show, or shows the error, take a look at https://github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyDesktop/issues/80

Thank you Matthew.
I am not sure what you're saying so here's descriptionon what is happening:
starting a new nw I get a window it says TiddlyDesktop - Main
with few buttons such as  Add a TiddlyWiki file | Add a Tiddlywiki folder| settings|etc
I d&d my tiddlywiki from desktop to that window.
then when clicking open - I get the Javascript error msg.

So I find it difficult to tell if it is the post Jeremy was referign too.

hmm

Ok, the initial window (that says TiddlyDesktop - Main) is showing for you, so the issue is not with TiddlyDesktop's configuration, but with how TiddlyDesktop is trying to render your file.  I assume you do not get the same issue if you open the tiddlywiki file in your browser?  Also, if you could post what web browser you're using that would be good.

If you feel comfortable posting the file, we can try to debug that.  Otherwise, can you try importing the http://tiddlywiki.com/empty.html file and see if that shows up correctly?  I want to confirm if the issue is with TiddlyDesktop in general or something in your file.

Hi Matt,

1. TW works fine on my firefox web browser for Linux.

2 I downloaded an empty TW. this one works fine on my TiddlyDesktop so looks like the problem is not with the TiddlyDesktop

3.I am not sure which file yous suggest I upload for debuging? but I am happy to give it a go

Cheers

The wiki file that you're attempting to import into TiddlyDesktop unsuccessfully.

The issue is the TiddlyMap plugin.  If you disable that, the wiki loads in TiddlyDesktop without a problem.  Unfortunately, I'm not exactly sure what the problem with tiddlymap is, and you'd have to work with the developer of the plugin to figure out a workaround for it.  Sorry I can't be more help.

Just to confirm: I'm having the same problem.  The tiddlymaps plugin is installed on Mac OSX Sierra 10.12.3.

Thanks
