Generating Static Sites & Plugins

So I'm using the render command to generate a static site. I'm also using some plugins that at the very least include css such as TW-Shiraz. Is there a best practice for getting this to work or do I need to manually modify my render template to include references to all the css files used and copy via script all those css files to my exported directory?
