I've tried to install TiddlyDesktop.  I downloaded and unzipped it and ran nw.exe.  I got the actual program to run but it won't show up in the programs list, I cannot pin it to my start menu or dock, and when running, said program doesn't use the correct dock icon.  Is there a way to install it correctly?  I'm very new at this.

Thanks

Hi Anita,
You are using an exe file, so I guess you are using Windows. I am using Linux and can get it on the start menu...but twice or nothing. I really wish we could share ;-)

Create a shortcut from nw.exe and rename it and put the shortcut where you want.

Tiddlydestop works on a few platforms so we need to make use of the features on each platform.

Hi Anita,

  1. Right click on nw.exe and click on create shortcut and rename the shortcut to TiddlyDesktop.exe
  2. Then browse to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
  3. Create a folder named TiddlyDesktop
  4. Paste your shortcut created in Step 1 in this folder
Hope this helps.
