Hello, today I'm glad to present the official forum for NoteSelf:

I really love tiddlywiki, I've been using it for 4 years now (I think) and for me that is a record for a software that is not an Operating System or a browser.

I also really appreciate the community and ow nice it is. It is an open, helpful and friendly community, I really like you. 

But something that I hate is google groups. It's just my personal preference, but I don't like it, any of the communities that exist inside it, not just TW.

For years I wanted to create a forum for Tiddlywiki, but I didn't wanted to impersonate the official tiddlywiki google group neither Jeremy. I felt that was not my decision.

Now that NoteSelf is getting more attention and people seems to need more help with it I saw it as an oportunity to create a sibling community. Github is not the best place for user doubts and tutorials, neither google groups. There are lots of threads about NS here that get buried on the single-and-messy stream of messages that google groups is.

Is this just for NoteSelf users ? OF course not!

In fact I have created a specific section for tiddlywiki. My idea is that almost every thing that applies to TiddlyWiki also applies to NoteSelf so the General section will be nice for that, but for very TW specific topics, there is also a section for it.

Every user of TW is welcome there, even if you never used or have no intention of using NS at all. If you like tw and prefer forums over mailing list, then you are also welcome.

Hopefully nobody seems this like an attempt to replace this group, but just as a compliment to it.

I have signed up and keen to participate. I applaud your activities to improve the communications. I would like to encourage more focused communication channels.

Personally I can make do with the google forums, which I use online, not via email. I would hope it not be too TiddlyWiki General while we still use the Google forums. But it may be a good Proof of concept.

Personally I favour a Yammer network, and I can provide one.

• What forum tool are you using ?
• I will ask a more complex NoteSelf related Question over there

A Suggestion

• Make it even clearer on the page it is the NoteSelf forum if possible. I like other use so many formum It would be helpful, including adding NoteSelf to the browser Tab text.

I think it's Discourse. And as many, i think it's a pretty good solution.

I think it makes a lot of sense to have a dedicated forum for Noteself.

I don't think Google Groups is any good at CUMULATIVE support. Noteself is an app that needs that--so that knowledge and understanding of what it does and how it works can grow in a way that directly supports end-users.

I'll comment there when I feel I have something to say. I'm glad Noteself is getting more of the attention it deserves.
