Hello everyone. I want to let everyone know that I have been working on several plugins lately. Wondering if anyone is interested enough to try copy button plugin out and provide any feedback. Thanks.

I just realized that I posted a link to my page and I should have posted the link to the source.

Hi Andrew,
  1. Can you please provide a demo?

    Creating a test tiddler with the following text in your wiki
    only seems to inline-transclude the source of the Copy Button tiddler:

    {{Copy Button||copy}}

  2. when you provide templates, I recommend making them system tiddlers
    • eventually, they have nothing to do (with a user's) content
    • so, I wouldn't want to see a copy tiddler in search results or the recent list

  3. Can you perhaps link the actual components in your description tiddler rather than just name them?
Best wishes,

Hi Andrew,

I get a "doesn't work in older browsers". Oh come on, I'm on firefox 33, not Netscape 4.

The documentation appears to need to be updated to read:

{{Tiddler title to transclude||$:/plugin/ajh/copy}}

Thank you Tobias, I think I've completed what you mentioned, but I don't understand what you mean by "link the actual components in your description tiddler rather than just name them." I am very interested in making sure the plugins follow the recommended formatting. Are there any examples?

Hi Mark, the good news is that it should work in Firefox 41 which was released in September.

Hi Andrew,

Now that I see the Repack tiddler I'm seeing what this is actually useful for. :-)

However this does not appear to be true...

This plugin button will copy HTML (i.e., you can paste results into a WYSIWYG editor).

All that is copied is plain text, afaics.

Best wishes,

This looks like it could be really useful, particularly for tutorials like I have been slowly putting together. It may make the terminal less scary for new users.

Hi Andrew,

I think this could be useful for having a set of options to chose from
that yield a desired output and then a copy button to just grab it.

For example, imagine setup options being selected or style snippets,
you check of those that you want and then copy the resulting outcome.

Not sure I'd use a copy button over dragging a link though.
It surely is more manageable on mobile.

Best wishes,
