Upgrading vs Overwritten shadow tids

It is fantastic that you can simply delete your tiddler to get the original shadow to kick in again. But regarding the warning "This is a shadow tiddler. Any changes will make updates non-trivial" - what are the actual consequences? Specifically;

If I overwrite, then upgrade, then delete my overwritten - what do I get? An updated original?

The warning here was very important in beta, since many template tiddlers changed quite often. So if you modify your eg: ViewTemplate, this template will always win. So "system" updates are non-trivial anymore, since you have to remember, your template changes. ...

Yes. The core version will be updated and your version will be gone ;)
