Hi all,

I'm trying to set up daily and monthly tasklist for different users. The daily tasks will constantly change but the monthly tasks...well, they should stay the same month to month.

I've set up tasks (tagged 'To Do') - each task in it's own tiddler - and I'm using the CheckboxToggleTag to add 'Done' when it's ticked.

If I open each task's tiddler separately and tick each one, it works.

If, however, I try pulling all Pending Tasks and Completed Tasks into one tiddler...well, things just turn very weird.

I tried copying the ToDoList tiddler from eric's site -- http://tiddlytools.com/#ToDoList -- and although the tiddler shows pending and completed tasks, it doesn't show the completed checkboxes as ticked...and then it gets even worse:

If I tick the top item's checkbox under Pending, it should move to the Completed list...but it doesn't. The box doesn't tick at all.  Same applies to the last task in the list. Having said that, if I tick one of the middle checkboxes on the Pending list, all of the checkboxes tick...including the Completed ones.

I really don't get it.

It was a straight copy & paste...so what am I missing?

Any help very greatefully received.

Hi Casey,

It looks like you are using the the "classic" version of TiddlyWiki

Instead of trying to solve the problem at hand, it might be easier to start with TW5. Checkboxes and tags are a lot easier and can be done without a plugin.

best wishes

Alex

Ah, okay.  Is there a way to import all the tiddlers and documentation from our current work tiddlywiki into the new version or will I have to start from scratch?

Cassey,

I don't know if there is a method for that at the moment. However in a recent hangout Eric and Steve were talking about using CSV [1]... a solution may just be around the corner.

Eric says its not that hard...

best wishes

Alex
