>> I am clearly not the creator of the tiddler, have I found a bug?
You clearly are the only creator of that Tiddler that is available for the application to hang onto. Previously there was no name to put as the creator. Now that there is one available, the first editor becomes the creator.

I am writing ontop of TW.com, i wanted to get those tiddlers only created by me, clearly there is no creator field on many tiddlers...
<<list-links filter:"[creator[MyUsername]]">>Found the commit, that is responsible for removing the initial creator and modifier fields. It was done for switching from alpha to version 5.0.2-beta.

Could I create my own version of TW.com with the creator field set to a value.
I just need a way of distinguishing what I have created, and what I have modified.

I probably "click the tick" as a matter of habit,
It does seem like a bug that TW saves a creator value into a tiddler when it's only been modified. Maybe worth a note on Github for a "someday" fix?
That's true. If a tiddler exists, it should possibly only touch the modifier field. So, yes, I'd think you/we could/should raise a ticket.
Could I ask you to do that? (I don't know my way around GitHub yet, but it looks like learning a bit about it will be the best way to report bugs and request features in a way that's manageable for Jeremy and TW contributors.)
So long as you're not actually coding, it's fairly trivial, I'd say ven Pull Requests for changes to the documentation. Just register, star the TiddlyWiki project (also keeps you in the loop on what's being discussed / developed) ...and report what's in need of reporting (doing some preliminary search, though ;-).
