I hope to put together a TiddlyWiki Forms "Architecture" (?) tutorial sometime within the next week or so.

Another method is to use the same form for edits, of course. I wish we had a standard for such form handling. There are so many ways to implement this its not funny, and a solution that overcomes the edit current tiddler issues which your modal also solves, would be good.
