I'm very happy to announce ver. 0.2 of the SideEditor plugin.

I have introduced positioning controls (range sliders) and a re-size feature to give you full control of what shows. IMO superior to the first version.
(...and, blink to Mario; no Eier-milch Sau just yet ;-)

IE: The new features do not work properly due to CSS difficulties to get the range slider tracks to behave properly. If anyone uses IE, please tell me and I'll explain the matter.

Safari: The plugin is not tested for this. I'd appreciate if anyone tells me how it performs there.

Ok, please report any bugs or oddities.

Thanks for this, Mat. I think it will be my preferred editing method from now on.

Is there a setting in the CSS to alter the default width?

Thanks
Jon.

This is very flattering to hear! But I agree, it really is enhancing my own workflow.

Yes, the shadowtiddler titled SideEditor (found at, I believe, the bottom in the sidebar Shadow tab list), under the styling for ".sideeditor" you find "width:400px". Out of curiosity, do you find the default too wide or to narrow?

FYI though, I will soon release an update because I've realized I must split out the CSS for the sliders fully from the above mentioned tiddler. I thought the CSS slider settings would only be global if they were tagged with $:/tags/Stylesheet but I guess that since that tiddler is tagged with $:/tags/Macro then the styling becomes global.

Hi Mat,

I was just a bit narrow - 500px proved perfect for my set up.

Thanks, Jon.
