Hi Sylvain,
 Yes it works!
As it explains in the title page you need to use Simple theme!
The colors are used from slide 5 afterward
The title of slides explain what color they use!

So,
  1. Open the Colorful slides from Slideshow Manager
  2. Choose Simple theme from sidebar/ Slideshow Manager
  3. Set it for presentation (click on the provided button on dashboard)
  4. Now go to presentation and enjoy the colorful slides!
Don't forget to send your feedback and starify :-) it at GitHub if you liked it :-)

Hi Mohammad,

Thanks very much for this new version, and for your answer to my earlier question about installing, which is now obsolete. The plugin installed easily and so far works "out of the box", though I realize it's still 'beta". I look forward to using this plugin in my fall term of teaching.

Hi Mohammed,

Very beautiful with lots of options, themes and colors. Easy to use for us due to your thorough explanations. I got charmed by the catfish, but did not like to jump one month forward (July 29th) loosing my summer holiday ;)
At first I did not get Colorify to work, but realized I had to change the theme to simple. It does work with catfish also.

Thank you very much for your great work,
Birthe

Mohammad,

Thanks again for this. I was wondering about installing this temporarily on a development prototype to build a slide show on where the development is at.

After disabling the plugin and or deleting it can you tell me what to look for to clean it up?

Have you displayed working interactive pages in a show?

I also would like to make use of your preview mechanisium.

Thanks in advance
Tony

I think that is an interesting question!

Why? Because the design is getting more moblie friendly. I'm actually looking at it as a simple way to run a minimalist website. But occasionally you'd need a slide to DO something :-).

Best wishes

Ciao Mohammad

Tiddlyshow v3.0 beta 2: Major improvement

Looking Good! I like it because the approach you've taken generalises. Its not just a "slideshow" in the narrow sense.

So far I haven't found much to comment on. But I'll test it for a few days yet.

Best wishes
Josiah

Birthe,

 Thank you for your comment!
The mistake was I just updated the previous version of Tiddlyshow from July 2018 and I forgot to correct the date I just changed 2018 to 2019!
I would also like to thank you as you are one of the pioneer to use Tiddlywiki as presentation tool! Your great work showroom inspired me to think about
developing a slideshow tool!

I would very happy to have your comments!

Tony!
This is a release candidate, I can update the repo with final release, but I planned to wait for a month to receive the feedback from users, developers.
So, no worry if you gonna to use it!

I think by deleting the plugin almost all tiddlers will be removed! traces of state tiddlers may remain! If you like I can send separably a list of such tiddlers.

I did not get what you mean! but if interactive here means to fill a form or navigate to other pages or play a video, I think it should work! By the way right now  I focus on static pages!

I also would like to make use of your preview mechanisium.

do you means presentation mode?

Hi Josiah!
I think part of comments by you and Tony has been implemented in this beta 2 release!
I am waiting for your evaluation feedback!

Josiah, I think Tiddlywiki+Tiddlyshow can have many use case and I am wondering how to advertise it!
I know many academic people (who use slideshow in their daily life: course lectures, seminars, meetings, ...) can use this!
Tiddlywiki + Tiddlyshow can act for creating small webpages, online slideshow, lecture notes, ...
Consider how it is simple to setup a page on the net and put all your lectures as online slideshow NO sophisticated web knowledge, no pdfs, no latex, ... required!

The beauty of  Tiddlywiki+Tiddlyshow  is the capability of employing the endless CSS+html features.

What do you think?

Mohammad,

I will have a go with Tiddlywiki+Tiddlyshow and interactive pages. Tiddlywiki users with content in tiddlywiki and those who can put content into tiddlywiki would possibly find Tiddlyshow better than any other slideshow alternates. Of course solution developers like me would find interactive slides compelling and nothing else would be as good as in wiki slideshows.

To me for tiddlywiki to thrive, the ease at which content can be imported into tiddlywiki and presented from there is an ongoing project. Of course once in tiddlywiki drawing alternate views, data analysis, making interactive and publishing in many different ways is tiddlywikis strengths.

If we can keep such solutions as tiddlyshow open, to present anything tiddlywiki can throw at it, I expect Tiddlywiki+Tiddlyshow could be a PowerPoint killer.

Nice work thanks
Tony

Hi Tony!
I have prepared a roadmap for Tiddlyshow and hopefully it could be a Powerpoint alternative!
The interactive pages and smart using of CSS3/4+HTML5 would give TW+TS a unique power!
I would be happy to hear from you and hope to chance to see your development for interactive slides!

Cheers

Wow! Impressive indeed. Congratulations Mohammad!

Really this actually seems like a potent alternative to power point. If ever I need a slideshow, I am going to use this.

Thank you!

Mohammad and all,

Reviving an old thread here about Tiddlyshow (such great things floating around!).

Wondering whether there is (or could be) any mechanism to enable Tiddlyshow to advance automatically through a (large, filter-based) set of tiddlers, and to embed audio files into each tiddler that would play automatically as each slide comes up.

(I did see your crossfade animation work as well, which is delightful http://csstransition.tiddlyspot.com/#Cross-Fade%20Images%20with%20Timer  )

Alas, I don't have terribly much time to tinker, but could be in a position to set up a TiddlyWiki using Tiddlyshow for a virtual graduation names montage (which would otherwise be presented as a video file -- heavy to stream and tedious to produce).

Cheers to all, meanwhile.

Another clue as to how to auto-advance a TW audio-visual slideshow might be here: http://vertical.tiddlyspot.com/ -- a link that came up in these forums around TalkyTalk (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/tiddlywiki/vertical.tiddlyspot.com%7Csort:date/tiddlywiki/D7fRmTOpGaQ/iMxs0zPYAQAJ)

Alas, this "Vertical" demo's GUI is set to French, the whole thing doesn't stay still long enough for me to peek under the hood , and the Demo tiddlers' "Stop" buttons (pounced on as soon as I glimpsed them) had no such effect. (Ah, finally found that "closing" the tiddlers for the slides stopped the automation, but still no insight as to whether what makes it tick could be easily extended to a long automated set...)

Also that old thread refers to "Evan's timer widget" but the link is dead.

Hi Springer

I am not sure if I can do it easily with Tiddlyshow easily as
  1. there is no timer mechanism in TW   (one solution may be using Jed Carty plugins)
  2. there is no mechanism to find when the audio is finished to advance to next slide
but I would be happy to release a new Tiddlyshow version if other people here could introduce solutions to the above issues!

One solution I think might be simpler is to see if reveal.js (https://revealjs.com/#/) or similar JS library (like https://bartaz.github.com/impress.js) have such feature and then use Tiddlywiki as authoring
tool!

Mohammad,

Thanks! "Knowing when audio clip is done" is not a problem (each audio will be <3 seconds per "slide" (tiddler), and 3 seconds is the advance rate I'd aim for).

But of course the trick is all in getting any timer stuff to work, as you point out. I've found some tantalizing leads, but given time pressures, I suspect I wouldn't be able to pull it together without some nudges from a more experienced TW5 expert.

I did a quick search to see if I could find a relevant Jed Carty plugin, no luck yet.

I had found the Reveal stuff, and it's pretty intriguing too.

Hi Springer,

If reveal.js works for you I can develop a small plugin for authoring and exporting!

Springer,

A new plugin has  been recently developed by Devin Weaver (sukima) which addresses what you want. It warps the amazing reveal.js (https://revealjs.com/) library into a Tiddlywiki plugin to create slides with auto play and many other features. Find it https://sukima.github.io/tiddlywiki-reveal-js/

I think Tiddlywiki+Reveal.js is an amazing integration put Tiddlywiki at top of HTML5 slideshow tools. While it is not as simple as Tiddlyshow (https://kookma.github.io/Tiddlyshow/) but it has many unique features like auto play, vertical slides, animation, fragmentation, effects, ....

I missed than, Thanks for sharing.

Actually it has a so called limitation I actually value, that is the slides do not auto-update with a tiddler change eg;
  • Stopping an iframe refresh when returning to it,
