Thanks to the assistance of Andreas Hahn , I have successfully - and dramatically - reduced the size of self-contained TW files that I use when internet is problematic.
FYI -
WebP is an image file format from
Google that provides lossy compression (like JPEG) as well as transparency (like
PNG) but can provide better compression than either JPEG or PNG.
In 3 recent LARGE self-contained ( images embedded within the single html file - rather than linked to local folders - or online ) Tiddlywikis
I have reduced file size from over 70MB to under 18MB
and the screen refreshes have reduced in time dramatically.
I assume most of you know this already - but it may be of help to the less technically minded like me .....
