I have a problem with the line endings in the patch tiddlers. It must be UNIX style "\n" but I'm on windows and have to make sure that not "\r\n" is saved when caching with an editor.

Hi,

You can set your editor to save unix-style line endings. .. If not, you may need an editor that can change this setting

Most simple programmer's text editors cope fine with "\n" only on Windows. Its likely an editor settings issue?

Since I followed your very informative YouTube playlist "How to work with a TiddlyWiki development environment" (YT PMARIO Mario Pietsch TW5 Development Environment Handling 14 videos Jan 2018), I have recently added the brackets editor.

Once again a big thank you for this valuable help.

Otherwise I mainly use
- notepad++
- VS Code

You can also switch the line endings in brackets in the bottom status bar:

What I haven't figured out yet is how to view the line endings. For example, it looks like this in notepad:  

Do you know how to do that in brackets?

When I start brackets with my TiddlyWiki/git project I often have serious internet problems. Has this already happened to you?

If I can't solve these problems, I will switch my TiddlyWiki project to VS Code, although I find brackets interesting because it is based on the CodeMirror browser editor.
