I literally downloaded it this morning, so please spare me.

I've made a tiddler and put notes in it, but I have to click on the arrow and have it "open in new window".

How do I make it so that my notes are shown when I first look at the tiddler?

It sounds like you may have accidentally clicked on a "fold all tiddlers" button.

To undo it, go over to the tools tab in the right sidebar, and select "unfold all tiddlers".
