Due to small issues with Keyboard shortcuts in TW 5.1.19 I reverted it to TW 5.1.18pre.
It is up and you can give a try.

Hi Mohammad, very cool, it's working great, I like it!

What are the keyboard shortcut issues in 5.1.19 if you don't mind reporting?

Hello Simon,
The problem WAS when I updated to TW 5.1.19 the next / previous shortcrust keys moves by 2 slides instead of one!

I FOUND it was because when I updated to 5.1.19 by drag and drop my KeeBoord plugin also was imported!
So, by any shortcut press TW moves one slide by core and one by KeeBoord plugin!

That's funny!

Suggestion:

When updating to 5.1.19, TW can recognize KeeBoord and prevents it from importing!

Tiddlyshow is Updated to TW 5.1.19

I would like to thank Simon Huber for his valuable and impressive work "Keyboard Shortcuts" in TW 5.1.19.

Using his great work, now Tiddlyshow has the keyboard shortcut bindings!

Tiddlyshow is a good example of using global Keyboard shortcuts.

Hahaha, yes, I knew that would happen to someone sooner or later. But the functionality just needed to be in the core

who wants that to happen should take the needed efforts, but I think it isn't necessary. maybe it's sufficient to make everyone aware of the fact that 5.1.19 can handle keyboard shortcuts and additional plugins aren't needed for that

Many thanks for a clearly useful app ! Would it be possible to distribute Tiddlyshow as a plugin ?
When carrying around my personal tiddlywiki it would be very useful to have Tiddlyshow directly available for offline presentations.

Hi Ulf,

The Tiddlywiki 5.1.19 has the great Keyboard Shortcuts by BTC into the core!
I hopefully find free time and clean up the Tiddlyshow based on this new feature and release it as plugin!

By that time, hopefully within a month or so, please send me your feedback or feature request.

Best regards
Mohammad

Tiddlyshow is looking really good. If I wanted to integrate this into an existing TW, how would I do that? What tiddlers would I need to bring over?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,
I am working on the next release and it uses new features of TW 5.1.19. Furthermore it has slide manager, theme, ...

I hope I can have a beta within next two weeks.
By the way, If you are in rush, you export all tiddlers have tiddlyshow in their title. They are something like $:/.mr/tiddlyshow
Use the advanced search /filter tab and look-for all tiddlers with $:/.mr/tiddlyshow in their title (i.e. use [search:title[$:/.mr/tiddlyshow]]
export them as a json file, import in your own wiki. Save and reload.

Note: Tiddlyshow cannot installed in TW 5.1.18 and older. If you like to do so, then you need to install Keeboard shortcuts separately (NOT recommended).

Its an elegant tool already. So hearing you continuing to develop it is good news.

One of the things that interests me in TiddlyShow is its potentially good for all types of step by step showing.

I think it could maybe be just as good for image galleries.

I'll look at the next version and comment regarding that if you want.

Best wishes
Josiah

Hi Josiah,
It is a BIG pity I am busy these months and have not enough time for the lovely Tiddlywiki!
By the way Tiddlyshow can be used for image galleries while I have already developed few tools to create galleries like
Steps and Wizards. They are included in Shiraz plugin https://kookma.github.io/Shiraz/

The NOT GOOD SIDE of Tiddlywiki forum is that, while there is a lot of really kind and helpful people in the community, there is NO real and long-term collaboration between them so most of us work alone on our codes!
If there was! we had much better plugins, codes, ... here

I think you are right.

GG is very fragmentary. Its good for "flow". It is terrible for "building".

People like me who don't code but who can comment well on function and design can end up feeling orphaned. As IF we were second level. But IMO good testers are important.

Best wishes
Josiah

I agree with Mohammads commentary. This is why I think we need a community environment. I proposed yammer to a resounding silence and we now have discord and two online commenting solutions.

I can imagine a lot better but to start with lets use these tools. I hope to publish a serial editing tool for single file wikis so multiple users with update privileges don't step on each others toes.

Regards
Tony

I feel you are right. I maybe wrong in my perception as I am not a programmer but I think unlike other open source projects growth of TW has been slow. Given the years TW has been around, it should have developed into a large cohesive eco-system or platform.  I don't think there has been a dearth of talent here.
