I have been asked from time to time abroad and locally, how would a person that used TW but more than a mere user being called upon? Is there a structure of coding levels in open source user group or particularly in TiddlyWiki world? Who are supposed to be called as developers, trainers, or perhaps core developers?

Of course there is only one or a few people which has the privilege of core licensing.

Advise me because the line has become vague to me and since I've been asked for several time.

Actually, Steve Schneider made a presentation on this just this weekend at the 2017 European TiddlyWiki Meetup!

It is ultimately, of course, arbitrary where you draw the lines when splitting up demographical segments but Steves division is the most "formal" one I've seen in TW.

Thanks for the update. I haven't screened the whole 48 mins video. For my understanding it's about levels of learning for those who started with TW. Indeed I've been using it in the google code-in contest for 13-17yo students and incorporating level 1 and 2.

However what I am asking is how would you identify yourself with TW. A mere/avid user, a coder, a trainer, a documentor, a semi developer, or a core developer? If you make a plugin, then how would you like to be called?

I know this is not too important, only wish to state on something when asked during meetups. I think it has been asked every time during Jeremy's hangout during the introduction session like how would you know TW etc ...

This is a good – but difficult – question. TW tries to give anyone the possibility to do what developers do …

My clues and associations:

https://github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyWiki5/graphs/contributors – gives an overview over important contributors to the core. You can click the names to see what they might call themseves e.g. Jeremy seems to be the “Creator” of TiddlyWiki …

The most active few could in my eyes be called Core Developers, among them pmario and tobibeer.

Then we have many Plugin Authors, at least one TW-Professor (Steven Schneider) and the most helpful Community Members one could wish for.

Some provide advanced Wikitext-Solutions, others master Javascript-Macros and -Widgets. Some develop in Single-Page-Wikis, others on Node.js. Some use Github, others don’t.

Sometimes people that find creative solutions are called TWizards.

Now you have some keywords to put in a matrix :–)

I hope that helps a bit, even if I do not have a list of generally accepted terms but only a vague idea that there are infinite shades of gray.
