Hi,

I've just published a stable release of my Notebook theme, which you can
get at

https://nicolas.petton.fr/tw/notebook.html

I haven't kept a ChangeLog for this release, but from now on I
will. This release mostly fixes issues with the upcoming TiddlyWiki
release.

Feedback welcome!

Cheers,
Nico

Thank you Nico.

Notebook is among the best plugins/themes. Notebook gives Tiddlywiki a cute, pleasant and very practical face.

Best wishes
Mohammad

Thanks Nico - just to be clear, if I want to install your project manager, is the theme automatically included in that? Or do I need to install this theme and the project manager?

The theme is not included in Projectify. Projectify can be used with any
theme/colour palette.

Notebook can be installed from here:

https://nicolas.petton.fr/tw/notebook.html

And Projectify from here:

https://nicolas.petton.fr/tw/projectify.html

I'm wondering, would it be useful if I provided an empty wiki with
Projectify & Notebook already set up?

Cheers,
Nico

Hi Nicolas.

My installation problem persists. When I drag and drop the theme into another wiki, the contents of the theme are not imported. See screenshot. Almost the whole list is in italics. Each italic tiddler doesn't exist. I don't know why or how this is happening, I tried importing some other theme and plugins as a control test, and it worked fine. So I think it is something with this theme.

Does anyone else has the same problem?

Can you try going in the control panel and activating the theme, then the
grey or beige palette?

Hi Odin,
How do you drag and drop the theme? I recommend to use do this from the main page on: https://nicolas.petton.fr/tw/notebook.html#Install
Testing on tiddlywiki.com works for me.

Best wishes
Mohammad

Thank you both for the quick reply!
After activating and switching palettes the links change from italics to bold. I'm guessing most of the tiddlers only get made after activation. I hadn't realised that before. It works now :)
Thanks!

Here to report odd glitch in notebook theme (which I love for sharing with folks who don't want to look under the hood -- so I'm sorry my first post about it is a problem report).

Alas, I spent two hours trying to replicate problem on a from-scratch site, with little luck. So I'll settle for reporting the incident, and see whether anyone has any bright ideas.

Basic symptom: the search inside the topbar (or from the tiddler $:/themes/nico/notebook/ui/Sidebar/Search)
fails to yield any results at all (The "Title matches" and "All matches" headers show up, but no results, even for the most obvious search strings). Advanced searches work fine (even within the Standard category). And if I switch theme back to Vanilla or similar, the regular sidebar search works fine.

I can't share the link to the malfunctioning site, because it's not public and contains info that I don't have permission to share. But I can say that in trying to replicate the problem, I exported all my tiddlers, dragged them into a local fresh TW5, and thought all was well (based on local loading, editing, and searching) so I was poised to just replace the old site... BUT somewhere between setting encryption and uploading to github, the problem popped back in. So encryption and/or http access *seem* to be involved. (Problem also appears when I try to access the site, read-only, from my campus server. It also appears on at least one downloaded version of the site when I load locally, so I'm flummoxed).

I had hoped to offer a recipe for getting the problem to manifest, but it sucked too much time before I realized I still have no idea why the notebook theme's search bar fails even while the stock sidebar version is fine.

Nico, if you have guesses or suggestions for troubleshooting (beyond a general "try to replicate"), I'm happy to field them and try again. There's an outside chance that just based on my description you'll recognize some little crack between the lines of code...

No problem, I'm glad you like the Notebook theme.

If you're not using v1.1.0, could you upgrade from
https://nicolas.petton.fr/tw/notebook.html?

Otherwise, Would you mind uninstalling Notebook (delete the
$:/themes/nico/notebook tiddler), and installing again from
https://nicolas.petton.fr/tw/notebook.html?

I remember fixing a very similar bug from some time ago, so upgrading
should fix it.

Nico
