While trying to install a couple of plugins, I discovered that dragging tiddlers to a wiki doesn't work as expected in TiddlyDesktop on Linux (specifically Ubuntu 20.04). Instead of importing the tiddler itself, it imports a tiddler called "Untitled" whose contents is the title of the tiddler in question. I've submitted an issue on GitHub, but in the meantime, does anyone know of a workaround? Is there a way to import tiddlers other than clicking-and-dragging? Or some other way of installing plugins that aren't in the plugin library?

Export the desired tiddler to a .json file and drag and drop the .json file into the wiki.

Importing .tid or .json files containing tiddler(s)

As per Reet Or use the Page Control Buttons > import to select the tid file or json file and import.

Dragging and dropping plugins is not always correct on node/server versions.

The untitled tiddler usually appears if you ctrl-ins or ctrl-v paste on a tiddler. Or say drag and drop a link or text, great for importing URL's as you discovered.

When dropping plugins and tiddly wiki file make sure you see the geen drop here bar at the top. Unfortunately hidden by the new Menu bar plugin.

Regards
